"I grew up in a family where [the paranormal] wasn't spoken about," he says in a recent phone interview with Scene. "I was a complete atheist. I had no belief in the other side."

In the film American Ghost Hunter, which he released last year on Hulu, he tells the story of how he started to experience paranormal activity after his family moved to a small town in Iowa.

Strong words from filmmaker Chad Calek. But the paranormal investigator thinks he has made the movie to back them up: "Sir Noface."

The co-star and director of the A&E Network reality series "Paranormal State" is bringing his new documentary to Cleveland on Wednesday, where he hopes to prove ghosts really do exist to Clevelanders at a special event and screening at the Agora Theatre, 5000 Euclid Ave.  READ FULL STORY HERE
chadThe Paramerican Summer Tour, promoting a brand-new paranormal documentary film called Sir NoFace by award-winning director Chad Calek, stopped off at St. Paul's Mounds Theatre on its way through the Twin Cities last week. The touted documentary promised "definitive proof ghosts exist," and there was no way I was going to pass this one up.

The Bigger They Are . . . Chad Calek is a big guy. He has a big voice, makes big movements. He talks big too. Due to communication delays concerning arrival time, I walked into the pre-event for Sir NoFace late. I tried to creep discreetly to my seat, but as it turned out, that caution wasn’t necessary. If I had walked in with a marching band on fire, I still don’t think it would have pulled the attention from Calek.  READ FULL ARTICLE HERE
Sir NoFace 2Hey guys, this is DeeCee. I don't usually make a personal post in the blog outside of my editorials but I'm making an exception in this case. I can't tell you how excited I am about a new documentary coming out called "SIR NOFACE." I'm excited about this because for the first time ever a ghost may have been captured on film.  READ MORE HERE

The paranormal investigator and documentarian says that while most films that investigate claims of paranormal activity and ghost sightings consist mainly of witnesses recounting what they've claimed to experience, "Sir NoFace" goes further.

"As far as I'm concerned — and to my audiences thus far — the conversation's over," Calek says over the phone. "Ghosts are real. We filmed one."  READ MORE HERE

Documentary filmmakers and paranormal investigators, Chad Calek and Craig Powell, spoke to 9NEWS on Friday about the documentary tour they are in the midst of, as well as the alleged paranormal activity behind their footage.

They say in order to prove something, they must disprove it first. By debunking paranormal theories, the investigators try to expose the falseness behind them.

“The only way to tell if a place is haunted is to hunt it. You have to be willing to spend a lot of time in the dark,” said Calek.

Chad Director image“If there was ever a documentary that was meant to be seen by the skeptics of the world… it’s Sir NoFace. The footage in Sir NoFace proves the existence of ghosts.” — Chad Calek

These were the words that emblazoned across the top of a press release about the Paramerican Summer Tour in promotion of a new documentary from Chad Calek of Paranormal State fame. Sir NoFace follows Craig Powell and a team of investigators who were hired by the Australian government to substantiate or debunk a series of paranormal claims at Cockatoo Island, which served as a prison before reopening as a state park. Powell and his team would go on to spend two years fulfilling this charge during which time they gathered “unprecedented” footage that prompted them to proclaim the site the “most haunted location they had ever investigated.” However, the story doesn’t end there.
