ABOUT CALEK2

As an award-winning filmmaker that's successfully navigated the shark-filled waters of the entertainment business for over two decades, Chad Calek provides the overall vision, voice and creative direction for 100 percent of the products released by AGH Television. In addition, Calek is also the driving force behind AGH TV's unique "grassroots" approach to marketing and promotion, as Calek's belief in the power of social media, combined with his passion for the sincerity created by face to face interaction with fans and supporters, has played a defining role in establishing AGH Television as not only an independent film and distribution company, but as a full-fledged "entertainment" company, that since its inception in 2011, has hosted over 280 live touring events in the United States, Canada and Australia.

"When it comes to the arts, whether you're talking about music, comedy, poetry, film or dance, in my opinion, nothing compares to the live show. It's not only the best way for fans and supporters to experience you vision, but as an artist, the live show is the only setting that offers 'real-time' reactions and responses to your work," says Calek. "You have to keep in mind that anyone can 'hype' their film. Anyone can brag about their own talent. Anyone can talk shit. But eventually, the time will come where you just have to hit 'play' and screen the film. Love it or hate it, the audience will let you know, as 'real-time' reactions are not agenda driven. While some artists may find this challenge to be a terrifying prospect, it's a challenge that I welcome with open arms, as I find nothing more fulfilling than hosting live events throughout the world."

AGH TELEVISION EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

"While the importance of reliable financial backing cannot be overstated, neither can the character of Thomas Lee Bottom, as his faith, passion and dedication to AGH TV has forever changed the landscape of what is possible. I'm extremely blessed to have Thomas as business partner that patiently mentors me, an Executive Producer that passionately supports my vision, and as a friend that's always been there for me."

ABOUT BOTTOM
As a world traveler, a collector of memorabilia, a paranormal enthusiast and a fan of the arts, Thomas Lee Bottom is a unique individual, to say the least. As a native Texan, Bottom's past successes in the world of finance and investments has allowed him the financial freedom to do with his life whatever he chooses. But unlike others who have been fortunate enough to find themselves in the same position, Bottom chooses to give back in an extremely unique fashion. As an avid supporter of independent music and film, Bottom is constantly scouting the world for innovative independent artists with a trademark style that deserve the chance to be seen and heard. In addition to attending live events in the U.S. and abroad, as a firm believer in the power of social media, Bottom is also extremely active in the online space. In fact, to date, Bottom has financially backed 45 different independent film and music projects on the popular crowd-sourcing websites "Kickstarter" and "Indiegogo". And while Bottom admittedly sets the bar high in regard to those he chooses to support, in a modern entertainment business that has completely abandoned the process of developing talent over time in order to reach both artistic and financial fruition, to those who gain Bottom's support, his belief in "fostering" talent, rather than "flipping" it, sets him a part from the pack as a true angel investor. And last, but not least, in addition to supporting artists, Bottom is also an avid sports fan that is actively involved with several local athletic teams in his home city of Reno, Nevada, including the University of Nevada Wolfpack Football and Basketball teams, the Triple A Reno Aces baseball team, the Reno NBA D-League's Reno Bighorns basketball team, and "Reno 1868 FC", the brand new Reno USL soccer team, in which as a season ticket holder for all of these teams, Bottom attends as many games as time allows.

“Over the course of the 15 years that I’ve known Curt, as my manager, he has passionately fought to protect my creative vision. As a friend, while suffering moments of self-doubt, he has urged me to hold on to my dreams and to keep fighting with all I have, no matter what. And as an example, he’s demonstrated what is possible if you do."

about smith divider
As a career musician and touring artist, Curt Smith has been making music with his band, Tears For Fears, and as a solo artist, for over 30 years. In addition, Smith has also managed Chad Calek’s career as a musician and a filmmaker for 15 years. As an avid supporter of online independent distribution of both music and film, and as an active member of the social media movement that has empowered artists to have a public voice associated with their art, Calek first came to Smith in 2012 with his vision for AGH Television, in which Smith was an immediate supporter of the concept of an online original film distribution channel that catered to specific programming created by a trademark-style filmmaker. Although AGH Television has gone through many changes to keep up with technological advances of the online world, with Smith’s support, Calek launched the earliest version of AGH Television January of 2013.

"A human being is a part of the whole called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
― Albert Einstein

TALENT MANAGER: CHAD CALEK OF TRUE PLAYER ENTERTAINMENT AND CURT SMITH OF ZERODISC MANAGEMENT
INDEX CASE LABEL: Self Distributed

"If destiny has an ounce of justice, the work of Edgar Allen Poe, Lord Byron and Joe Ansley will mentioned, without pause, in the same breath. Joe doesn't write lyrics. He paints them. He doesn't use meaning. He creates it. He doesn't connect words... he tangles them. While Joe may not be a 'jack of all trades' when it comes to his artistic abilities, he's a king of his craft when it comes to the music of INDEX CASE. And we've been fortunate enough to document the person behind the music, which is every bit as fascinating."
- Chad Calek, AGH TV Creator and Director

ANSLEY

At the age of 16, Joe Ansley began his musical career as the front man for a band called Index Case from Indianola, IA, which sits just on the outskirts of Des Moines, IA. It was during this time that Ansley became close friends with Chad Calek, who was a member of the Ames, IA, band 35 Inch Mudder, which oddly enough, unknown to Calek when he first met Ansely, 35 Inch Mudder was the local band that inspired Ansley to become a musician in the first place.

After years of playing shows together and sharing the stage, Ansley and Calek eventually began working together on a professional level, as Calek began managing Ansley's musical career, in which Calek would often go on tour with Index Case. It was through these tours that Ansley and Calek would learn that in addition to sharing the bond of creating and performing original music, they also had a similar interest in the paranormal, as both had suffered horrific childhood experiences with the "unexplained".  But long before Ansley and Calek began making films about the paranormal... there was the music.
